v. wrap fish in coconut leaves when grilling or roasting it
動 魚を焼く際に，ココヤシの葉で魚を包むこと
kā (be on fire) + pui (protection). This is done to prevent the flesh from breaking apart during cooking and to avoid overcooking.
kā（燃える）+ pui（防止）． 焼成中に魚の身が崩れるのを防ぎ、また火が通りすぎるのを防ぐために用いられる調理法．
